Patricia Mathis, former wife of former U.S. Congressman Dawson Mathis and mother of their four sons, died on Friday in Albany. Funeral Services were held in her hometown of Nashville, Ga. on Monday. Mrs. Mathis had been seriously ill for a number of years. She died in hospice care at the home of her son, Craig Mathis in Albany. In addition to Craig, her sons are Tony, Rusty and Jason, all of whom gave her much pride and joy for their lifetimes. Her father, Ellis Connell, a sister and eight grandchildren also survive.
