The name of former U.S. Senator Max Cleland, a Georgia Democrat, heads the list of those likely to be a part of the Administration of President Barack Obama. Various news sources, including the newsletter politico.com has published a list of most likely choices for a wide array of top jobs should Obama win Tuesday’s election. Obama transition planners have been working on possible choices for weeks. The list has Cleland returning to the job of Secretary of Veterans Affairs, a position he held for nearly four years under the administration of Jimmy Carter, but other reports suggest Cleland might be under consideration for Secretary of the Army. . Cleland, has been supporting Obama, has told friends he is not seeking the job but would obviously consider returning to Washington to help his President and his country and his fellow veterans.
