Leah Tatum-Dick, 57, who serves as secretary at the Capitol to Insurance Chairman Ralph Hudgens and Agriculture Chairman John Bulloch died in an auto accident on Saturday along with her husband, Bill, 63. The Augusta Chronicle late Sunday reported that three persons had died in a head-on collision on Interstate 20 near Martinez. Mr. Dick was driving a Toyota Avalon which veered across the median and hit a pick-up truck driving by Robert Rowell, age 68 of Martinez. The Dicks were killed instantly while Mr. Rowell died later.. Leah was a popular and longtime Capitol Secretary, serving with equal enthusiasm to two key committees and two improtant Committee chairmen. While her office was at the end of a long hallway in the basement of the Capitol, Leah was known by all as a dedicated and responsible staffer on top of her job at all times. Her many friends at the Capitol feel a terrible loss. There will be a Memorial Tribute to Leah on Wednesday in the Senate Chamber of the State Capitol.
