Bad news for the staff of Congressman Nathan Deal. He is leaving Congress while seeking the office of governor. His staff will be off the payroll after about a month. Deal is one of seven Republicans seeking the GOP nomination. It means also there will be a quicky special election to fill his seat and then the winner would be able to run as an incumbent in the November election. Deal becomes the second member of the Georgia Delegation, John Linder being the other, who will be leaving the congress.
