State Senator Ralph Hudgens, who led the field for the Republican Nomination for the Office of Insurance Commissioner has won the endorsement of two of his former opponents and has a major fund raiser scheduled next week hosted by most of his GOP Senate Collegues and Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle. President Pro-Tem Tommie Williams and Majority Leader Chip Rogers are also on the host list for the reception at One Atlantic Center on Tuesday, August 3rd. (Contact Patti Peach (770) 850-0165 for information.) Endorsements have come to Hudgens from Rep. Tom Knox who said, “Ralph Hudgens is a man of faith and character. I worked closely with Ralph as we chaired the respective Insurance Committees in the Georgia House and Senate. He shares with me the belief in a strong conservative approach to government and support for the free-market. Gerry Purcell, another former candidate, said Ralph Hudgens is the one candidate who is prepared to lead this office through the difficult times ahead. He is a successful small businessman and leader.”
