State Senator Tim Golden of Valdosta has officially announced he is joining the Republican Party. The long-time legislator has served ten terms in the General Assembly as both a member of the State House of Representatives and the State Senate. Senator Golden has been a leading fiscal conservative and considered by many as one of the most pro-business members of the General Assembly. Senator Republican Leaders are united in their support of Senator Golden joining the GOP. “We welcome Senaor Golden to the Republican Party. He has been a real leader on issues that help create jobs and support Georgia business. We have long felt his ideology is a good fit for the Republican Party and we are excited he is joining our efforts to make Georgia the most jobs-friendly state in America,” Senator Majority Leader Chip Rogers said.
