Raynor Picked by Georgia Chamber

The Georgia Chamber of Commerce announced today that David Raynor has been selected as the organization’s Senior Vice President for Government Affairs. Raynor joins the chamber after serving as Georgia State Director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) since 2006. “David adds a deep knowledge of government as well as a keen understanding of the needs and priorities of our state’s business community to our team,” said Chris Clark, president and CEO. “With his leadership at the State Capitol and in Washington, DC, we will become an even stronger advocate on behalf of our members.” ” Ensuring that the business community receives the support it needs to continue to provide jobs and grow the state’s economy has never been more important,” said Raynor. “I am honored to have been selected for this position and excited about working with the Chamber’s staff and membership to address the challenges that lie ahead.” Ensuring that the business community receives the support it needs to continue to provide jobs and grow the state’s economy has never been more important,” said Raynor. “I am honored to have been selected for this position and excited about working with the Chamber’s staff and membership to address the challenges that lie ahead.” Prior to his position with the NFIB, Raynor held positions as chief of staff for then State Senate Majority Leader Tommie Williams and deputy director of government relations for the Medical Association of Georgia. He is a member of the Board of Advisors to the Georgia Free Clinic Network and the Advisory Council to the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation. Raynor will begin his new position on December 27.
