Congressman Austin Scott Opens Offices with Experienced Staff

Georgia’s newest Congressman, Austin Scott, of Tifton has announced the locations for three of his district offices and says he expects to spend a lot of time in the district. He says that the Congress has set a schedule that will permit the Members of Congress to spend one week each month in their districts. Scott says he will have district offices in his hometown of Tifton and in Warner Robins and Dublin. The largest staff will work in the Warner Robins office, where a veteran constituent services staffer, Peggy Greenway, has been retained from the staff of former Congressman Jim Marshall. Ms. Greenway had served on the staffs of former Congressman Charles Hatcher and Congressman Sanford Bishop of Albany. Scott has other experienced staffers. Joby Young, who worked at the State Capitol for Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, is serving as Congressman Scott’s chief of staff. Stone Workman, who was with the USDA during the Bush Administration, is the district office manager. Scott also has hired an experienced communications director, Cassie Smedile.
