Former Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture Tommy Irvin was seriously injured on Thursday in an accident in north Georgia. Friends have learned that the automobile Irvin was driving was struck on the side at an intersection. Irvin is in intensive care unit at the Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa. His many friends at the State Capitol have expressed concern about Irvin’s condition.
