Gov. Nathan Deal has named Neil Pruitt Jr. to be the Fifth Congressional District member of the Board of Regents. Pruitt is chairman and CEO of UHS-Pruitt Corp., which is an integrated health care company. Pruitt also serves as vice chair of the board of governors of the American Health Care Association, which represents nearly 11,000 nonprofit and proprietary facilities, including skilled nursing homes, assisted living residences and sub-acute centers. Pruitt graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of the South. He has a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Health Administration from Georgia State University. He lives in Atlanta with his wife, Mebane, and their three children.
