Services Thursday for Peggy Greenway, constituent aide to five Georgia Congressmen

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Byne Memorial Baptist Church in Albany, for Peggy Greenway, age 70, who distinguished herself as a valued staff member to five U.S. Congressmen from Georgia. Mrs. Greenway died of a massive stroke at her home near Dublin on Monday Morning. At the time of her death, Peggy was constituent services director for Congressman Austin Scott. Previously she had worked for Congressmen Jim Marshall, Sanford Bishop, J. Roy Rowland and Charles Hatcher. At the beginning of her business career she was assistant promotion manager of WALB TV in Albany and secretary to Judge Asa Kelley of Albany.
Following the 11 a.m. service, there will be a reception at the church. Mrs. Greenway is survived by her mother and three brothers, also two daughters, Tammy and Julee and five grandchildren. Mathew Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
