Signing Gifts for Carter Center Weekend Guests Joe Sports personally signed over two hundred books which will be given to those attending the Winter Weekend in Floriday next week hosted by President and Mrs. Jimmy Carter. The books are gifts of one of Joe's clients, Monsanto Company, which along with Delta AirLines and Coca-Cola Company serves as one of the sponsors of the Winter Weekend. A Visit to Paul Anderson Youth Home In July, Joe stopped by for a visit in Vidalia with the faculty and boys of the Paul Anderson Youth Home and left several copies of Man in the Middle. (Dorothy) Smith, of Atlanta seemed very pleased to receive a copy of "Georgia's Man in the Middle" on the occasion of her 100th Birthday.Mrs. Smith's husband was president of South Georgia College in Douglas in the fifties. Her daughters, Dottie and Diana, arranged the special birthday celebration. The books are going to the legislators compliments of Bo Warren and Monsanto Company. Stephanie Kozol is a bright young lobbyist with the Holland and Knight firm. She helped edit the final draft of the book. When the friend expressed an interest in purchasing a copy, we were able to make a special delivery during a stop at country food buffet in Tifton.
