Hugh Cleland, left with his son, former U.S. Senator Max Cleland died Wednesday afternoon at his home. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Henry Funeral Home in Lithonia. Burial will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 2:30.

Gov. Sonny Perdue welcomed two young ladies to his office this week and was presented a copy of a children's book that the girls have written. It's called "Adventures of the Ubgublins" and includes one chapter about the governor saving Atlanta's water supply.
